Description
Team Mosasauridae : Tylosaurus proriger, Mosasaurus hoffmannii
Team Pliosauridae : Pliosaurus rossicus, Kronosaurus queenslandicus, Pliosaurus funkei
Previously considered to be a 17 meters long giant by some estimations, Mosasaurus hoffmannii has been downsized, and is now thought to be around 13 meters long. As a result Mosasaurus would be only slightly larger than the 12 meters long Tylosaurus proriger, though widely heavier.
The different species of Pliosaurus suffered the same fate : in their recent works, both AlternatePrehistory and Randomdinos gave the P. funkei specimen PMO 214. 136 a length of around 8,8 meters. According to AlternatePrehistory, the largest Pliosaurus species would be P. rossicus, reaching 9,65 meters in length. With its 10,5 meters, Kronosaurus queenslandicus would eventually be one of the largest pliosaurs, if not the largest.
I'm not convinced that the teeth of my pliosaurs are disposed correctly...
